Join us on Friday, July 19 at 5:00 p.m. for the premier of

Pink Belt

This showing of Pink Belt is being held as a fundraiser for the Museum of Ancient Wonders (MoAW), a nonprofit organization, to celebrate its fifth year of operations, and to announce the formation of the LGBTQ+ World History Museum. This sneak preview fundraiser will assist in the relocation of MoAW and the establishment of the LGBTQ+ World History Museum in Palm Springs. “We are honored to celebrate Aparna Rajawat’s heroic accomplishments and humbled to be associated with McCrite's inspiring new documentary. The fundraiser will strengthen our resolve as we work to create museum diversity for the region," says Executive Director and Chief Curator, Alberto Acosta.

Pink Belt is a feature documentary about Aparna Rajawat, India’s sixteen-time women's martial arts national champion, teaching other women and young girls self-defense. Her message of female empowerment is changing India one village at a time.

Aparna Rajawat and John McCrite, the director, will be joining us for this premiere at the Mary Pickford Theater, 38650 Pickfair Street, Cathedral City.
